This bear stands 22" (50 cm) tall from head to toe and can be sewn from cherished garments of a loved one to create a meaningful keepsake. You can also use soft, fluffy fabrics like minky, then dress your bear in old baby clothes (newborn to 6 months sizes work great) or sew teddy-sized clothes from special fabrics. For an extra touch, fill it with glass beads to turn it into a weighted birth bear! Note: This video features the updated 2025 printed version of the pattern, but most of the tutorial also applies to the previous version.
