Scammer Accidentally Exposes His Own Scam, Steven Johnson Saga Ep 15

Welcome back to Outfoxing Foxes. I'm Rick the Scam Hunter, and this is Episode 15 of the Steven Johnson Saga.After exposing a 79-year-old scam victim in the previous episode and discovering that scammers had access to her bank account, the pressure is beginning to take its toll on Steven Michael Johnson, now operating under the alias Craig Brown.Following the explosive meltdown at the end of Episode 14, Steven/Craig cools off just enough to continue the scam. But as you'll see in this episode, every attempt he makes to recover only causes him to reveal more about how the scam really works. As he desperately tries to prove whether Haywood actually deposited the money, Steven/Craig accidentally exposes critical details about the operation. In this episode, you'll see: 👉 Steven/Craig accidentally refer to the victim's account as "his" account, exposing the scam in real time. 👉 He forgets which fake lottery company he's pretending to represent and slips back into one of his previous scam identities. 👉 He becomes increasingly suspicious of Haywood's story and repeatedly attempts to verify the fake bank transaction. 👉 The return of Mrs. Anderson—better known to viewers as Drag Queen Craig Brown—as Steven/Craig desperately switches characters after blowing his own cover. 👉 How scammers insist on staying on the phone while victims are inside the bank so they can monitor every step of the transaction. 👉 An inside look at how scammers manipulate victims by creating urgency, demanding secrecy, and attempting to control every conversation. While Steven/Craig was busy trying to recover his collapsing scam, I used the opportunity to file an Adult Protective Services (APS) report on behalf of the elderly victim from the previous episode. Protecting victims is always the ultimate goal of these investigations, and hopefully this report will help prevent her from being victimized again. As the pressure continues to mount, Steven Johnson and Steven Michael Johnson are finding it harder and harder to keep their fake identities, fake companies, and fabricated stories straight.
