Somewhere During Salah

A Beautiful Nasheed, “Somewhere During Salah” is a heartfelt nasheed about a moment in prayer when the heart begins to weep with love and awe for Allah. Through dreamlike imagery of the Kaaba, crystal light, and worshippers dressed in white, the song expresses a deep longing for Allah’s mercy and the peace found in salah and du’a. Here are some Arabic to English translations for my non-Muslim family and friends: Allah = “God”, Ya Allah = “Oh God” Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim = “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful” Kaaba = “A House of Worship and Direction of Prayer”
