Painting a Small Series | Keeping it Simple

This week I felt inspired to make a small series of paintings, but also felt that the only way to do that was my lowering the (my) ceiling. I chose: one limited colour palette, one very simple subject (fried eggs), and eight smol paintings. Over a few days in the studio I experimented with colour, patterned backgrounds, composition, lost edges and repetition, while trying not to get too precious about the results. It was lekker to see some of my learning poking through too!
