Gamble Sands is a great place for a buddies’ golf tour in Eastern Washington near the town of Brewster. Brewster is situated at the confluence of the Okanogan and Columbia rivers and is famous for its agriculture – in particular their cherry and apple crops. It is just under a 4 hour drive from Seattle, and if you are driving a Tesla you will have to use a super charger along the way. It is a links-style golf course and this video, featuring Michael and Johnny Shearer, takes you through quite a few of the holes, explains some of the options on the holes and gives you a very good insight into the accommodation and the wonderful and massive putting green complex that so many people have fun with and a few drinks in the evening. The course is designed by David Kidd?? and it is link-style with a twist. Firstly, it is not on the ocean, so it is less windy, but it is also very generous if you miss in the right “wrong places”. It is probably important to play it with a caddy the first time so that you can get advice as to where best to place your shot and where the safer misses are. There is no doubt that if you play it a few times you will have the potential to record one of your better scores of the year because if you know where to miss your bad shot might very well turn out to be a great shot. You will also have to practice your lag putting because you will have lots of very lengthy putts on this course! We hope that you enjoy the footage and there is some very nice drone footage of Gamble Sands as well. Gamble Sands is a fantastic golfing destination to go on a buddies’ trip and stay for 2 or 3 days and it will only get better when they add on the second course. They will definitely need more accommodation, because it is pretty full most of the summer. Our other tips include playing in the morning because the afternoons are a bit hotter and make sure you take sunscreen! Please remember to subscribe to #GolfAdventurers. #GambleSands
