Jazz Tuesdays Presenets The Music of Wayne Shorter w/ Liam Trawick (3/24/26)

We are thrilled to present an evening of the music of the great saxophonist, composer, and bandleader Wayne Shorter. Saxophonist Liam Trawick leads the band, with Sean Lebita on piano, Alex Hoberty, bass, and resident drummer Jeff Shoup. With a career spanning more than six decades, Wayne Shorter composed for and performed with artists like the Jazz Messengers and Maynard Ferguson before joining Miles Davis's famous "second great quintet" in the mid-1960s. Wayne was a Blue Note Records artist, founded the band Weather Report, and is one of the most influential figures in the field of jazz. Jazz Tuesdays is sponsored by Gregg Hill and Cold Plunge Records, and Law Office of Trent Harris. Thank you also to Moriarty's Pub for making a home for jazz in Michigan's capital city since 2014.
