In this video, I show step by step how to create an interactive *Microsoft Power BI dashboard from a BIM model in Autodesk Forma* using Autodesk Data Exchange. The workflow can be used with BIM models coming from different sources, including **Revit, Civil 3D, IFC, and other formats supported in Autodesk Forma**. The complete workflow is: *BIM Model → Autodesk Forma → Data Exchange → Microsoft Power BI → BIM Data Analytics* The starting point is a BIM model available in Autodesk Forma. From there, we create an **Autodesk Data Exchange**, which is stored and managed in Forma Data Management and becomes the connection between our BIM information and Power BI. 📊 *Connecting Autodesk Forma with Power BI* In Microsoft Power BI, we install the **Autodesk Data Exchange visual**, available from the Autodesk App Store: 👉 Autodesk Data Exchange for Power BI: https://marketplace.autodesk.com/apps... Once the visual is available in Power BI, we can authenticate with our Autodesk account, connect to Autodesk Forma, and load the Data Exchange created from our BIM model. From there, we have both the **3D model and its data available for analytics in Power BI**. In this tutorial, I cover: • Starting with a BIM model in Autodesk Forma • Creating an Autodesk Data Exchange from the model • Managing the Data Exchange in Forma Data Management • Installing the Autodesk Data Exchange visual for Microsoft Power BI • Authenticating and connecting Power BI with Autodesk Forma • Loading the Data Exchange into Power BI • Visualizing and interacting with the BIM model in Power BI • Connecting BIM model properties with Power BI visuals • Creating interactive dashboards from BIM data • Exploring model information through data analytics Once the connection is established, the rest is **Power BI**. We can use the BIM model database to create charts, tables, KPIs, filters, and other visualizations, while the Autodesk Data Exchange visual provides the 3D context. 📐 *3D geometry + BIM data + Business Intelligence* This creates an interesting bridge between BIM and traditional data analytics, allowing project information contained in our models to become part of interactive Power BI dashboards. The goal is not just to visualize a BIM model inside Power BI. It is to make **BIM data available for analysis**, combining Autodesk Forma and Data Exchange with the flexibility of the Power BI ecosystem. 👉 Connect with me on LinkedIn:   / diegogonzalezpascual   Subscribe if you're interested in practical workflows around BIM, Autodesk Forma, Data Exchange, data analytics, digital twins, and construction technology. #Autodesk #AutodeskForma #AutodeskDataExchange #PowerBI #BIM #BIMData #DataAnalytics #BusinessIntelligence #Revit #Civil3D #IFC #DigitalTwin #AEC #DigitalConstruction
