Victoria aut Mors: Liebbattalion vs Vielle Garde at Grosbeeren

Today I entered combat against the venerable French Old Guard alongside the best of the "Black Brunswickers"; the Liebbattalion. Having drilled extensively in the prelude to the action, we entered the battle fresh and confident; prepared to conquer, or perish. The Liebbattalion displayed considerable proficiency in the face of our powerful foe; we exhibited the fruits of our discipline in our superb marksmanship, drill and cohesion, and managed to not only arrest all attempts by our foe to charge us down, for we held our position so firmly, but countered them on so many occasions that by the end of the battle they hesitated to attempt it again. We took three of their colours and lost only one, and it was through these victories and our excellent musketry, that we secured the final triumph over the Guard. (Recorded 5/01/2025)
