Treading the Clay: 흙밟기 Foot Wedging for Onggi

Footwedging is the best way to process a large amount of clay when you don’t have electricity. This is an important traditional skill, however for our studio’s everyday processing of clay we use pugmills! At the start of an Onggi Masterclass or Learning Residency, we go over this traditional approach to processing this wild clay.
