Patrick Decker vs. Ichida & Senkbeil (TTS Borsum X SC Buschhausen | 3. Tischtennis Bundesliga Nord)

The second half of the season is like bewitched. We don't take our opportunities to get the important missing points for saving the stay in the league. It's still not looking too bad but the air is getting scarce. Last weekend I had a massive cold, so I just shook hands and our team lost 1:6 against TTC 1957 Lampertheim. This weekend we wanted to take an important point against SC Buschhausen but again we weren't successful and lost 2:6. I lost my double with Marius against Ishida / Senkbeil in the final set and didn't have a good start into my first single match against Vincent Senkbeil after some weeks of colds and irregular training possibilities which had an impact on the match. I played much too defensive with many little mistakes and I lost the very important third set 17:19 including many great chances to make it. But all in all Vince played very strong and he definitely deserved this win. We often train together at the regional training centre of TTVN, so we know each other very well. In my second single match I could beat Brazilian top scorer Carlos Ichida (TTR 2310) again who had a result of 9 wins and 0 losses in the second half of the season!
