Gehrman. The Moon Presence. Bloodborne. After eleven years, countless deaths, and finally returning to the game that I first played back in 2015, the moment has finally arrived. I stepped into the Hunter's Dream one last time with one goal in mind: to finally finish Bloodborne. But first, I had one last thing to take care of. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Before facing Gehrman, I realized I had somehow forgotten to finish one final part of The Old Hunters. I returned to the Coast where I defeated the Orphan of Kos and discovered the strange apparition I had somehow missed, finally putting the DLC completely to rest. Then I returned to the Hunter's Dream and prepared for what could potentially be my final battle. I stocked up on Blood Vials, repaired and upgraded my equipment, equipped my best Blood Gems, loaded up on Fire and Bolt Paper, Beast Blood Pellets, Bone Marrow Ash, and every other useful consumable I could find. I even spent every last Coldblood item I had just to squeeze out one final level before spending the rest on Blood Vials. Finally, I consumed my remaining One Third of Umbilical Cords and Madman's Knowledge to reach maximum Insight, stepped through the open gate, and entered the flower field. Gehrman was waiting. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The battle against Gehrman immediately reminded me of some of Bloodborne's most intimidating hunters. He moved with the same relentless speed and aggression as Father Gascoigne and Lady Maria, catching me off guard with attacks that seemed to come out of nowhere. Despite that, I managed to fight back and bring him down to roughly **25% health on my very first attempt**. Then he took to the air. One devastating attack later, I was dead. I was frustrated, but I wasn't going to let that stop me. On my second attempt, I adapted to his relentless movement, took advantage of his buff phases, and slowly wore him down. Even after nearly getting killed by his final area-of-effect explosion, I managed to heal, survive his aerial attacks, and finally bring him to the brink of death. Then, after everything this game had thrown at me, I finally landed the final blows. Gehrman was defeated. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ But Bloodborne wasn't finished with me yet. The Moon Presence descended from the blood moon, and I entered one final battle against the mysterious Great One. What happened next was probably the most anticlimactic final boss fight I have ever experienced. I immediately discovered just how effective Bolt Paper could be against it, shredding through roughly 30% of its health in about ten seconds and bringing it down to around a quarter health shortly afterward. Then it unleashed an attack that completely drained my health bar, leaving me with only a sliver of life. I tried to heal four separate times, only to realize that I couldn't recover my health at all. At that point, I had no idea what else to do. The Moon Presence prepared another devastating attack, so with almost nothing left to lose, I charged straight toward it and started swinging. It unleashed the same attack again. And somehow, I survived. Five more hits were all it took. The entire fight had lasted just ONE MINUTE AND SIX SECONDS. The Moon Presence fell. And after eleven years, Bloodborne was finally over. *Part of me couldn't believe how quickly it had ended. This was the FINAL BOSS, yet I had somehow destroyed it on my very first attempt in barely over a minute. I couldn't tell whether the fight itself was simply underwhelming, whether everything I had learned throughout Bloodborne had finally come together, or whether I would have felt completely differently if I had died and been forced to fight Gehrman all over again just to get another chance. Either way, there was something strangely cathartic about ending an eleven-year journey by absolutely shredding through the final boss.* ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🩸 The final episode, Episode 28 of my first full Bloodborne playthrough ⚔️ *In this episode:* I return to the Hunter's Nightmare to finally complete the last part of The Old Hunters DLC. I prepare for what I expect to be the final battle of Bloodborne. I finally face Gehrman, the First Hunter. I bring Gehrman down to 25% health on my very first attempt. After two attempts, I finally defeat Gehrman. I witness the incredible descent of the Moon Presence. I face the final Great One in one last desperate battle. After eleven years, I finally defeat Bloodborne for the first time in my life. I reflect on my entire journey through Bloodborne and what finally completing the game means to me. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 👍 If you’re enjoying the series, consider subscribing and sticking around for the next journey — it genuinely helps the channel grow. #bloodborne #gehrman #moonpresence
