This is Day 1 of a series of walks where I am attempting to record the entire stretch from Melbourne to Mallacoota and beyond. I'll be following the coast capturing the beaches along the way as much as possible. It is likely to be about 50 days of walking covering up to 1000km or 600 miles. The full walk is not yet complete, so we'll see how long it really takes and how far it is! The plan is Melbourne to Point Nepean, Cape Schanck, Flinders, Point Leo, Crib Point, Phillip Island, San Remo, Kilcunda, Cape Patterson, Inverloch, Venus Bay, Cape Liptrap, Wilson's Promontory, Port Welshpool, 90 Mile beach to Lakes Entrance, Marlo, Cape Conran, Point Hicks then Mallacoota. In this video I walk from Flinders Street Station in Melbourne CBD, to a nearby popular coastal suburb St Kilda taking the path of the Yarra River to Port Melbourne, then along the beach to St Kilda. It is a 18.8 km or 11.7 miles. 00:00:00 Flinders Street Station to Enterprize Wharf 00:09:22 Enterprize Wharf to Polly Woodside 00:23:40 Polly Woodside to Westgate Park 01:22:01 Westgate Park to Sandridge Lookout 01:59:56 Sandridge Lookout to Sandridge 02:10:31 Sandridge to Port Melbourne 02:40:44 Port Melbourne to South Melbourne 02:51:24 South Melbourne to St Kilda 03:22:00 St Kilda
