Is one global tracker fund enough for the shares in your portfolio?
It can feel too simple to hold just one fund. Many investors naturally want to add more — a US fund, a technology fund, an emerging markets fund, or whatever is being tipped in the financial press.
But adding more funds does not always mean adding more diversification. Often, it simply means putting more money into companies, countries or sectors you already own.
In this video, Robin Powell explains how a global tracker fund works, why many investors end up with overlapping portfolios, and when an extra equity fund may genuinely earn its place.
