On The Scene: The Philippine government has approved P8.6 billion under the Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Assistance Program (DRRAP) to support the recovery of 306 LGUs heavily affected by disasters from 2024 to 2026, with more than P6 billion already released and another P2.5 billion approved and being downloaded to local governments. Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. warned local chief executives not to use disaster funds for personal gain or they will face the "full force of the law."
