Dr. Guanyu Su gives a talk on Tritium Transport and Extraction for Fusion Energy Systems. Dr. Su is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Nuclear Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, where he leads the High-temperature Energy-system and Advanced Technology lab (HEAT lab). His research focuses on advancing heat and mass transfer technologies for fission and fusion energy systems. Prior to joining Berkeley in 2023, Guanyu was a postdoctoral researcher in MIT’s Nuclear Reactor Laboratory and completed both his Ph.D. and M.S. in Nuclear Engineering at MIT as well. Guanyu has been recognized with MIT’s Outstanding Postdoctoral Award and Graduate Research Award in Nuclear Engineering, and his current research at HEAT lab is supported by ongoing grants from the DOE and NSF.
