🍂 OCTOBER WINDOW
The Official Album Backstory
An Original Album by Michael Joseph BlackSuit
A story of autumn, loneliness, memories, faith, and the quiet strength of a man learning to live with yesterday.
⸻
The Man Behind the Window
Somewhere in the heart of Toronto, on a cold and rainy October afternoon, a man dressed in black sits alone inside an old café.
Outside, the city continues living.
Streetcars pass through rain-soaked streets. Cars disappear beneath the grey afternoon sky. Orange and crimson leaves fall from the trees, surrendering themselves to another Canadian autumn.
Inside, the café is warm.
An old jazz melody plays quietly in the background. A candle flickers beside a leather notebook. A cup of hot coffee rests between the man’s hands.
But his thoughts are somewhere far beyond the window.
His name is Michael Joseph BlackSuit.
And this is his October.
Chapter I — The Weight of Yesterday
For years, Michael believed that growing older meant becoming stronger, that every passing season would bring greater understanding of life.
But October taught him something different.
Sometimes, growing older means learning how to carry memories that never completely disappear.
There are things he wishes he could relive. Words he wishes he had spoken. Roads he wishes he had taken.
Yet time offers no return ticket.
He has watched summers disappear, friendships change, dreams grow distant, and familiar places become reminders of another lifetime.
Now, surrounded by the golden colours of autumn, he begins to understand that even beautiful things must sometimes change.
And so he writes.
Not because he has all the answers.
But because music gives a voice to the questions he cannot ask aloud.
Chapter II — The October Window
Every afternoon, Michael returns to the same little café.
The waiter knows his order. The familiar wooden chair waits beside the window.
Some days, he watches the rain.
Other days, he watches strangers laughing together beneath umbrellas, wondering about the stories hidden behind their smiles.
He begins filling his notebook with melodies inspired by the world outside.
Slow piano notes.
Melancholic strings.
The warmth of 1950s jazz and soul.
The haunting sound of an upright bass.
And a voice carrying the weight of a thousand unspoken thoughts.
Each song becomes another window into his soul.
Some songs speak of loneliness.
Others speak of growing older, disappointment, forgiveness, and the strange beauty of autumn.
But beneath every melody lies the same question:
How does a man move forward when part of his heart still lives in yesterday?
Chapter III — A Conversation with God
One evening, as darkness settles over Toronto, Michael remains inside the café long after the afternoon crowd has disappeared.
He looks toward the rain-covered window.
For the first time that day, he closes his notebook.
And quietly, he prays.
“Lord, I do not understand every road You have placed before me. I cannot change yesterday, and I cannot see tomorrow. But if You are still walking beside me, give me the strength to keep going.”
There is no thunder.
No miraculous voice.
Only the gentle sound of rain.
Yet somehow, the silence feels different.
He realizes that faith does not always remove sorrow. Sometimes faith simply gives a person enough courage to face another morning.
And in that quiet moment, another song begins.
Chapter IV — BlackSuit in the Fall
As October approaches its final days, the streets turn brilliant shades of orange and gold.
The man in black finally leaves the café.
He buttons his coat and steps into the cold evening air.
His past has not disappeared.
His unanswered questions remain.
But something inside him has changed.
He no longer believes that every broken season represents the end of his story.
Like the trees surrounding him, he must learn when to release what he cannot hold forever.
The leaves fall.
The wind rises.
The city grows darker.
But the man keeps walking.
For he has discovered a simple truth:
The seasons change, but he remains.
Epilogue — Tomorrow Is Still Waiting
October Window is not an album about having a perfect life.
It is about surviving imperfect chapters.
It is about lonely afternoons, cold autumn nights, prayers whispered when nobody is listening, and the courage required to keep believing in tomorrow.
It is the soundtrack of a man who has felt the weight of time but refuses to surrender his future.
Somewhere in Toronto, an empty coffee cup rests beside a closed notebook.
The candle has burned low.
The rain continues falling.
And beyond the glass, the world waits for another sunrise.
Because even the longest October must eventually give way to November.
⸻
“You cannot stop the leaves from falling. But you can decide whether you will fall with them or stand beneath the changing sky.”
