The credits sequence includes art by YouTube user Kitsukane: http://tobori.deviantart.com/ Gainax's colourful (in EVERY sense of the word) and irreverent new anime, "Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt", has been creating a sensation, and rightfully so - it may be easy to dismiss it as vulgar, but it is vivid, vigorous and vivacious, with lashings of slick style to elevate it into an entertaining experience. Don't take my word for it, though - at the time of writing, it's still being broadcast on Crunchyroll. Go watch it now! it's certainly been making a great impression on me, and so I had to acknowledge this with a homage. One of the appealing aspects of PSG is it that it is willing to mix things up a little - every so often, in a pause for breath, a quietly effective juxtaposition will be set against its usual antics and encourage a little reflection. We've had a heartwarming love story, a grim social commentary and, with the introduction of Scanty & Kneesocks, a sense of overarching plot, too. Recurring villains, however, also entail recurring defeats for said villains! However many times they may be confounded in their efforts to destroy their angelic rivals, though, the demon sisters and their impish companion Fastener will always doggedly, determinedly brush themselves down and try again - after all, perseverence is a ruuuuuuuuuruuu.
