Eastbound on the new Federation Trail links from Millers to Hyde

Starting in Altona North, I hopped onto the Federation Trail at the Millers Rd Westgate ramps. I chose to use the turn lane instead of risking multiple toucan crossings at intersections where I've witnessed drivers run red lights or ignore right of way. (Yes, I see what I did at that slip lane.) The new trail connections hug the north side of the Westgate Freeway and Tollway, dipping down to run alongside Fogarty avenue and then back up and over Melbourne Road, the Werribee rail line, and Hall Street, to meet up with Hyde Street at the Tollway offramp. This new connection means I can bypass Melbourne Rd and two level crossings entirely, and it means I can avoid several narrow residential roads frequented by rat runners.
