After being stuck in Denton Texas for days without freight, i decided to abandon my truck and explore the city. I discovered the Denton Country Transportation Authority, which hosts a commuter train service between downtown Denton and Trinity Mills, where it connects north texas commuters with DFW (Dallas-Fort Worth) metro area locations.
The service is known as the A-Train and consists of a little over 20 miles of track running north-south. Equipment used on this line consists of a fleet of swiss-built Stadler GTW dmu's (diesel multi-units) powered by two small diesel engines in the center of the consist. this is a brief ride from Denton to Lewisville Lake.
