067. A look around Schloss Adler - a Winter Alpine Model Railway Layout by Jonathan Wilkins (4K)

This is a re-issue of my video No. 009. I felt it needed better post-production, so using more up to date video creating software, its now up to 4K standard, previously SD. This magnificent Schloss Adler N-gauge track model railway layout does its stuff at the Chesham Model Railway Club's 2017 Exhibition. Created & owned by Jonathan Wilkins who is a Chesham Model Railway Club (CMRC) member. It is based in the Swiss / Austrian Alps. A 1m gauge light railway climbs up through the mountains near to the vintage cable car which is based upon the one used in the film Where Eagles Dare. The standard gauge tram track serves Werfen Station, just in front of the more modern cable car based upon the Ahombahn in Mayerhofen Austria. It is fully automated & uses 7 motors to power all the various mechanised attractions. The road & skiers use the owner's own chain drive with magnets design, using a similar method to the commercially available Faller Car System. Look out for the down-hill skiers racing the Giant Slalom. Marvellous ! To view Jonathan’s Dutch Airport based Layout video, search my channel for video No. 063.
