Late summer in Vermont brought us to Stowe, where we spent a few beautiful days exploring the town, staying in a cozy Airbnb tucked into the woods, and taking Koda on his first Stowe adventure. We wandered through the charming village, explored the grounds around our little wooded getaway with our six-month-old Australian Shepherd, and then headed up to Stowe Mountain Resort to drive the historic Auto Toll Road toward the summit ridge of Mount Mansfield, Vermont's highest peak. Along the way, we discovered some of the fascinating history behind Stowe and Mount Mansfield, including the mountain's unusual facial-profile ridgeline, its alpine tundra, and its connection to Vermont's ski history. We also visited the von Trapp Family Lodge, where the story of the family behind The Sound of Music continues in the Vermont mountains. If you enjoy Vermont travel, New England road trips, cozy getaways, mountain towns, scenic drives, puppy adventures, and cinematic storytelling, come along for the journey. Until next time, stay curious, stay wild.
