From Kobe Station, we walked to Minatogawa, an area where old-fashioned streets and the atmosphere of old Kobe still remain.
The purpose of today’s walk was to try the nostalgic Japanese drink “Hiyashi Ame,” a traditional sweet ginger drink.
We slowly explored Minatogawa Market, taking in the old shopping streets and traditional local shops that still carry the atmosphere of the Showa era.
Along the way, we stopped at “Okonomiyaki Tenten” and “Taiki Kamaboko,” and also visited Minatogawa Shrine.
This is a quiet walk through a side of Kobe that feels a little different from the usual tourist spots.
Please enjoy the old streets, everyday scenery, and natural sounds of the city at a relaxed pace.
