Her Father Sent Me to the Side Door With the Help... Then I Came to Sunday Dinner

Cole has been dating Claire for four months, and on Sunday he finally meets her parents. She told her dad he works in "real estate stuff." On Friday, Cole inspects a big lake house for a young couple who are putting every dollar they've saved into it. The owner sends him to the side door, makes him leave his boots on the mat in front of his clients, snaps his fingers at him, and tells him that "people who work with their hands use the side door." Then the owner mentions that his daughter Claire is bringing her boyfriend to dinner on Sunday. He has no idea who he's talking to. There's one freshly painted wall downstairs. There's a wet-vac hidden by the side door. And there's a housekeeper who has worked there for thirty years and is told to lie for him. Every house tells the truth at its lowest point. On Sunday, Cole walks in the front door. Have you ever been treated like "the help" by someone who didn't know who you were?
