In the beautiful city of Madurai, there stood the charming goddess - Meenakshi - with her hair tied in a bun and parrot held in her hand. With the sparkling crown adorning her head, devas showering rain of flowers and Shiva chants hymning, in the carbuncle chariot, she came with her Consort Lord Chokkanadhar.
