This 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa was initially delivered to Sunset Porsche of Beaverton, Oregon, and it remained registered in the state until it was sold on BaT in June 2023. Now showing 42k miles, the car is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a four-speed Tiptronic transaxle and is finished in black over matching leather upholstery. Further details include the Motor Sound Package, 17″ two-piece Targa wheels, a power-operated glass roof panel, a “basket handle” fixed rear spoiler, Koni dampers, a Fabspeed catted X-pipe, power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, a factory stereo, and air conditioning. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2025, this 993 Targa is now offered in Indiana with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, removed exhaust components, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Michigan title. The 993 Targa was based on the convertible bodyshell and featured a revised roof with a lifting and sliding glass center section as opposed to the removable top found on earlier 911 Targa models. This example is finished in black and is equipped with headlight washers, fog lights, a front spoiler, power-adjustable mirrors, a rear window wiper, dual exhaust outlets, and a “basket handle” fixed rear spoiler with an integrated third brake light. The rear bumper cover was refinished and the right fog light and engine cover supports were replaced under previous ownership. Close-up photos of paint chips and exterior imperfections are viewable in the gallery below. Targa-specific two-piece 17″ Speedline wheels are mounted with staggered-width Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires that show 2023 production codes. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners, and the car is equipped with Koni dampers. Replacement front brake rotors and pads were fitted in August 2021, and the right-rear wheel was repaired in April 2023. The power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in black leather and are complemented by a color-coordinated center console, dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Wood trim accents the shift knob and handbrake lever, and interior appointments include a factory stereo, power windows and locks, carpeted floor mats, cruise control, Porsche crests on the front headrests, and air conditioning. The leather-wrapped steering wheel features Tiptronic S shift buttons and frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 42k miles. A magnetic phone mount has been added to the clock bezel. The air-cooled 3.6L M64 flat-six features a VarioRam intake system and was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. The car is equipped with the optional Motor Sound Package, which added a revised intake. Service under previous ownership in 2023 consisted of replacing the engine sound pad, air filter, and battery. The oil was most recently changed in October 2026. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transaxle with Tiptronic manual shift mode. A Fabspeed exhaust X-pipe with revised catalytic converters was installed under previous ownership, and an oxygen sensor was replaced in August 2023. The window sticker shows initial delivery to Sunset Porsche of Beaverton, Oregon, along with factory colors, equipment, options, and a total price of $79,591. Manufacturer’s literature and service records also accompany the car, as do removed exhaust components, per the selling dealer. Bid Now on Bring a Trailer: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/199...
