ESP Block - The Preferred Option in Thoracic Surgery? [ASRA 2025]

This is my side of a 3-way debate at the ASRA 2025 Annual Spring Meeting on "The Preferred RA Technique in Thoracic Surgery". It was a honor to share the stage with giants of RA like Manoj Karmakar and Steve Coppens. There are no simple answers to most clinical questions in anesthesia, but it's my hope that you will find this useful and thought-provoking. I believe that ALL 3 techniques we discussed have their place in anesthesia practice - ideally an individual clinician would be comfortable performing all 3, and thus versatile in adopting the "best" one for a given set of circumstances.
