The lie: "I'll believe it when I understand it." We want the whole thing explained before we'll take the first step — show me how it works, show me how it ends, show me that I can do it. But that's not how it goes. Abraham "went out, not knowing whither he went." Noah built for rain nobody had ever seen. The whole roll call of faith in Hebrews 11 is people who walked without knowing and died without seeing — and it was still counted as faith. The walking comes first. The understanding comes later. And the thing that stops us was never the problem standing in the way. It's the doubt. Hebrews calls it the sin that so easily besets us — and it's the same unbelief that kept a whole generation out of the promise.
