Waterless washing with maniac detailing products IG736

A full waterless wash on my 2020 SLC 300 using about 60 to 75ml of actual product - no hose, no bucket, no drain. First the distinction, because people mix these up constantly: a rinseless is sprayed on and worked with a little water in a bucket, and you rinse less than you would with soap - it isn't no-rinse. A waterless is designed to be used with no water at all. That makes it the right tool for an apartment complex, an HOA that won't let you wash in the driveway, a car show, or a bottle that lives in the trunk for bird droppings and bug splatter. Maniac Waterless is a concentrate at 1:10. I mixed 90ml of product with 900ml of water in a 1-litre Solo sprayer to make a full litre, and that was just enough to do the whole car with about a third of the bottle left over. On an SUV you'd want more. I always start on glass. Glass shows streaking immediately because of the dark edges, it tells you how dirty the car really is, and it's hard enough that you aren't risking much while you learn how the product behaves. Then I show the method I actually use: treat one Pluffle towel like eight towels. Four squares a side, light pressure, and roll your hand as you wipe so the dirt disperses down into the nap instead of dragging across the panel. Buff the section you just did with the next clean quarter before moving on. If you lose track of where you are on the towel - which I did, because I'm talking to a camera - throw it in the bin and grab another. Six towels for the whole car, all washable. Anything stuck stays stuck; spray it again and come back rather than picking at it. Maniac's Exterior Quick Detailer went on afterwards as a topper. It unclogged the coating and brought the slickness back, though it isn't as slick as the Garage Therapy and Yum detailers I've been using lately. Their Glass Cleaner and Degreaser was uneventful in the best way - good cling so it doesn't run down the panel, no streaks on tinted or untinted glass, ammonia free, and it specifically calls out being safe on Alcantara and glass coatings, which is an unusual thing to print on a bottle. The trick with any glass cleaner is that everyone uses too much; spray less. Honest take: I'd still rather do a rinseless than a waterless, and none of these is the best thing on my shelf. But the line is very solid, it's inexpensive per wash, and if Labocosmetica feels daunting because of the dilutions, this is the friendlier way into Mafra's stable.
