USSteel Eagles ~ While working on the nest the bottom falls! Oct 19, 2026

Stella and Irv are fixing up the nest. They both seem to like long sticks and have to work hard to find just the right place for them. While both are on the nest the bottom falls! Both fly immediately to a branch as they try to figure out what just happened. The top part of the nest looks stable and no major limbs broke. They will return in a few minutes and continue working on the nest. We'll have to keep an eye on the stability of this nest and hope no problems happen especially when Eaglets are on the nest.
