What does it really mean when the Holy Spirit convicts us? In John 16:7–14, Jesus explains that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment but that conviction is very different from shame, guilt, and condemnation. The Holy Spirit is our Advocate, not our accuser. He points us back to Jesus, reminds us when we are not trusting God, and leads us into truth. For believers, He also reminds us of the righteousness we have received through faith in Christ. In this message, we unpack what biblical conviction looks like, why faith matters, how the Holy Spirit leads us in difficult decisions, and why sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply receive from God. Scriptures include: John 16:7–14 Romans 3:19–24 Romans 5:17 2 Corinthians 5:17 John 14–15 If you have ever confused the voice of condemnation with the conviction of the Holy Spirit, this message is for you.
