Living on less than $1,000 a month as a factory worker in Japan means payday is more than just getting paid. Since our salary depends on the hours and days we work, the amount can be different every month. On payday, I take care of the important things first — paying my bills, sending money to my family in the Philippines, and setting aside what I need for the month. After that, I use the remaining budget for food and other everyday necessities. In this vlog, I’m taking you along on my payday routine, grocery shopping at two different supermarkets, checking out cheap finds, and doing a little thrifting at a secondhand store.
