Final part of the cyberdeck build! I move everything into the CNC-machined aluminum shell, manufactered and sponsored by @PCBWay, fix a few surprises along the way (a bent keyboard, a dead touchid click, tight USB-C routing), and get it running as my daily driver. Full transplant into the aluminum chassis, custom screen protector cut by hand, re-routed antennas, hot glue in all the right (and wrong) places, and a trackpad relocated to the back panel. The final dimensions are 286.5 × 274.6 × 18–19mm, just 3mm thicker than a stock M1 MacBook Air, weighing 1600g total (+300g, half of it pure cooling), and unlocking +8.7% sustained CPU performance in Cinebench, with the radiator staying under 40°C and the chassis around 35°C in daily use. I also get into the day-to-day experience: typing in bed with the trackpad relocated to the back panel, touchscreen quirks on macOS (and why mac os 27 has me curious), Meshtastic firmware running GPS/node stats/an e-ink dancing ASCII cat, and a few "vibe coded" utility scripts I wrote to patch touchscreen sleep bugs and scroll direction. ▶ Part 1: Teardown:    • Forget The MacBook Neo, I’m Making a Mac C...   ▶ Part 2: Getting into the weeds:    • Mac Cyberdeck Build: This Got Sketchy   00:00 Intro 00:30 CNC shell unboxing 02:43 Final build montage 04:28 PCBWay spot 04:59 Final build montage continued 21:29 Glam shots 22:31 Details and user experience Screw magnetic teardown tray: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2645...
