This video follows one full-arch case in exocad DentalCAD from start to finish. It starts with setting up the project, then covers the digital smile design and ends with the implant-based restoration design. It plays at 1.25× speed so the whole workflow fits in under 18 minutes.
Full-arch digital workflows start from the end result and work backward. We design the smile against the patient's face first, then use that design to guide the implant-supported prosthesis. Each digital record (pre-op scans, facial photos, fiducial marker scans, tissue scans and scan body scans) is layered into one scene. That way every decision is tied to the same reference geometry.
In this video:
Setting up the exocad project and choosing indications for a full-arch case
Loading jaw scans: pre-surgery, surgery markers, tissue scans and photogrammetry
Smile Creator: importing the facial photo and aligning it to the 3D scans
Setting facial reference points: eye markers, midline and lip line
Choosing a tooth library and placing the arch
Evaluating the smile design against the face in 2D and 3D
Changing the project to implant-based, screw-retained restorations with scan body scans
Loading scan body data and designing the definitive prosthesis
Before and after comparison

Key takeaways:
Design the smile before you design the prosthesis. The face drives the teeth, and the teeth drive the implants.
Every layer needs common geometry to align accurately to the one before it.
A well-organized scene makes the move from provisional design to final prosthesis predictable.
