PowerUp Raleigh Holds Candidate Forum for Wake County Fall Elections

PowerUp NC, a program of North Carolina League Conservation Voters Foundation has organized a nonpartisan candidates’ forum for the upcoming Wake County Commission At-Large, Water and Soil District, Wake County District 2 School Board elections. This forum aims to provide a platform for community members to communicate which issues are important to them and ask candidates where they stand on such issues. Additionally, this forum offers candidates an opportunity to clearly present their platforms to the community. PowerUp NC and its partners will center Black and Brown voices in this forum, because these communities have been historically underrepresented in elections. This forum will provide the space for residents to hear candidates address issues that impact residents, including the economy, energy, education, affordable housing, and jobs that pay family-sustaining wages.
