Beast of Bodmin | 37142 runs 5 round trips on Bodmin Railways final diesel running day of the season

Having missed this years Bodmin Diesel Gala due to other commitments, I was lucky today as Bodmin's final diesel day of 2026 saw the recently returned to traffic 37142 doing the honours, making all the right noises! We begin with a quick additional snippet from late September when D6515 ‘Lt Jenny Lewis RN’ returned with 31210 on the Hanson & Hall 0M33 Bodmin Siding - Burton Wetmore Sidings, hurrying through Bridgwater after the pair starred at the Diesel Gala. | 28.09.2026 Then onto today and a full day spent enjoying some 'spooktacular' English Electric thrash on Halloween as 37142 was put through her paces with 5 return services out of Bodmin General heading between Bodmin Parkway and Boscarne Junction making all the right noises thrashing through the Autumn landscape. British Rail Class 37 locomotive 37142 returned to active service at the Bodmin Railway following a comprehensive 7 year full mechanical and structural overhaul and the team have done a fantastic job, she look resplendent in the Autumnal sunshine today and it was great to see lots of enthusiasts coming to enjoy a trip being the locomotive today, with a great atmosphere along the line and it was also nice to see the team working on 47306 'The Sapper' as her C exam continued. | 31.10.2026 I hope you enjoy this video and thank you for watching!
