SIR Row: CEC Gyanesh Kumar Meets Election Commissioners | Big Clarifications on Voter Revision Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi held a meeting amid ongoing discussion over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The Election Commission said the June 24, 2025 SIR order was taken unanimously and issued several clarifications on the process. According to the Commission, voters receiving notices do not necessarily have to visit the ERO office, as Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit homes to collect documents and upload them through ECINET. The Commission also said provisions are available for adding eligible voters whose names were left out, while new voters can register through the regular voter-update process.
