Located near the small community of Hoonah, Icy Strait Point is surrounded by the breathtaking wilderness of Alaska, including pristine waters, snow-capped mountains, forests, and an abundance of wildlife. The area is especially well known for its incredible opportunities to see humpback whales, along with other marine wildlife such as sea lions, seals, eagles, and occasionally orcas. During this amazing whale-watching experience, we had the opportunity to witness these magnificent animals swimming and feeding in the beautiful waters of Alaska. There is nothing quite like seeing a whale surface, blow, dive, or possibly even breach against the spectacular backdrop of the Alaskan wilderness. Icy Strait Point offers a truly unforgettable combination of Alaska’s natural beauty, wildlife, and Native Tlingit culture.
