We planned to catch sunrise at Tre Cime. We didn't know need to book months ahead. And by the time we got there, the only option was a two-hour wait in full sun for a shuttle bus.
So we turned around. This is what we found instead.

WHAT THIS TRIP COST US
Seceda cable car — €74 per person, round trip
Cinque Torri — free
Rental car — picked up at Venice airport, returned at Verona airport
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHAT WE'D TELL YOU BEFORE YOU GO
→ Tre Cime requires advance booking in high season. Not "wake up early" early months ahead. Parking near the trailhead sells out too.
→ Cinque Torri is free, quiet, and the hiking is genuinely beautiful.
→ Seceda cable car is expensive, but if the weather turns, wait it out. We arrived to zero visibility. It cleared.
→ If you pick up a rental car at Venice airport, sign your contract online BEFORE you arrive. We didn't. More on that next episode.
