Keep your shorthand notebook and pen ready. Start the video and write the dictation in shorthand only. 2. The text is shown still and turns to the next page as the reading moves on (4 pages). 3. Marks on the page: the small numbers (20, 40, 60 ...) are the running word count (80 WPM = 20 words every 15 seconds). 4. When it ends, transcribe your notes into longhand and compare with the page. 5. Repeat the same dictation until you can write it comfortably, then move up a speed.
