Close Encounters | Valheim 1.0 Let's Play | Episode 3

Welcome back to our Valheim 1.0 Let’s Play! After finally taking down Eikthyr, we’re ready to leave the Meadows behind and start making some real progress in the Black Forest. We have a plan, we have better gear, and we even know the location of some things we’ll need. As always, everything goes horribly wrong. In Episode 3, victorious after a fight involving lightning and catapulting a large deer with campfires, we head into the Black Forest. We manage to clear our first crypt, find the location of the Elder, and collect some new resources. We start to upgrade our gear and hopefully get less terrible at staying alive, getting one step closer to taking on the Black Forest for real! However, the local population of the Black Forest had other plans: A crypt with some close encounters. Ambushes staged by shamans and brutes. A healthy supply of overconfidence. A troll (that can fly?) But between the chaos, death, near-disasters, and questionable combat decisions, we manage to come out the other side ready for more. Just another productive day in Valheim.
