WWOR Commercial Breaks (April 3, 1988)

From Easter 1988, it is an airing of "El Cid," starring Charlton Heston, off WWOR-TV (channel 9), in Secaucus, New Jersey, serving New York City. It aired as part of "Million Dollar Movie." Another Charlton Heston film, The Ten Commandments, usually airs every Easter on ABC. WWOR is now owned by MyNetworkTV. One year into their call letter change and you can see WWOR mostly separated from their previous moniker. The CGI movie intros and bumpers were in by late 1987, but they still used the same announcers (Phil Tonken and Ted Mallie). Later that year they changed their news name to "Channel 9 News."
