IFC calls for increased investment in Uganda’s construction sector

The World Bank’s private sector lending arm, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), is encouraging both the government and the private sector to scale up investments in construction and related infrastructure. Citing what it calls its long-term, risk-free and flexible lending profile, the IFC says the construction sector in Uganda still holds vast potential, with wider prospects for growth. Anita Mwandha, IFC’s Uganda Country Manager, was speaking during the 3rd Annual Doing Business Forum, convened by the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development in Kampala.
