A lower control arm replacement guide for these Toyota Hilux/Vigo/Tacoma/Prado (Kun26 / N70 Hilux) It's been noted to torque the bottom eye of the strut with the vehicle on the ground (loaded suspension) I did not in the video but should have, I have rectified and found no issue but best practice is to torque it in its natural on road position to prevent twisting of the bush when the car is dropped back on its wheels. A brief guide on how to replace the whole arm with lower control arm torque settings and hints We replaced the whole arm as it was more economical to do so, genuine parts is always best but we replaced with a good aftermarket alternative here, it is also a good idea to replace the bolts with new, these were more rusted in than anticipated Torque settings" -LCA bolts 103ftlbs / 139NM -Ball joint nut 103ftlbs / 139NM -Ball joint to swivel housing bolts 118ftlbs / 160NM -Suspension strut nut and bolt 70ftlbs / 95NM Toyota Hilux lower control arm 00:00 Toyota Hilux replacement LCA cost and tips 00:17 Removing a Hilux lower control arm 01:48 Removing seized Hilux LCA bolts 03:05 Fitting Hilux lower control arm 04:30 Torque settings Hilux lower control arm 07:40
