Yuvraj Singh's life story, told around one question: what did the 2011 World Cup cost him? In his own words.
Six sixes at Durban, a father's dream, Lord's 2002, a World Cup won while he was spitting blood, then a tumour, chemotherapy and the comeback.
This film follows Yuvraj Singh from the night he hit Stuart Broad for six sixes in one over at Durban in 2007, to Chennai in 2011, when he could hardly breathe and told almost no one. Then back to Chandigarh, where his father, who played for India until injury ended his career, threw away the boy's skating medal and took him to training every day. Lord's 2002 and the chase of 326 with Kaif. The 2003 World Cup final lost to Australia by 125 runs. Then 2011: five wickets and a fifty against Ireland, a hundred against the West Indies, the quarter-final against Australia, and the final in Mumbai with Dhoni. 362 runs, 15 wickets, Player of the Tournament.
Weeks later, a tumour in his left lung. Chemotherapy in Boston and Indianapolis. Back for India in September 2012, the 2014 final he called the worst day of his career, and 150 at Cuttack in 2017 beside Dhoni. His farewell in Mumbai in 2019.
Much of the story is told by Yuvraj himself, from interviews he gave over the years, with Stuart Broad and his father in their own words.
