A 450 km solo road trip from Toyama to Tokyo. I completely rebuilt the inside of my beloved camper “Jill” into a private sleeper-train-style cabin and hit the road for some real Car Camping. The mission? Finally getting the air suspension installed after waiting a full year. Along the way, it’s all about the little things that make Vanlife fun: great food at highway service areas, convenience-store bento hacks, and spending the night at a parking area with showers. No fancy resort camping. Just one 48-year-old guy, his camper, good food, and a tiny private base on wheels.
