THE CALL OF A PROPHET | Sabbath School Lesson 2 | Q4 2026 — Bible Deep Dive

Sabbath School Lesson 2 | The Call of a Prophet | October 3–9, 2026 How does God call a prophet—and what kind of person responds when He calls? In this week’s Bible Deep Dive, we study the calling and ministry of several biblical messengers and discover that God does not simply call people to receive His Word. He calls them to listen, trust, surrender, stand faithfully, and carry His message to others. We will follow the experiences of Samuel, Elisha, Abraham, Elijah, Isaiah, Daniel, and John the Baptist, looking carefully at both God’s call and their response. We will also examine how the biblical pattern of prophetic ministry helps us understand the prophetic calling of Ellen G. White and why every prophetic claim must always be tested by Scripture. Our memory text is: “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” — Isaiah 6:8 (KJV) Throughout the lesson we will see: Samuel teaches us to listen. Elisha teaches us to respond. Abraham teaches us to trust. Elijah teaches us to choose. Isaiah teaches us to surrender to God’s cleansing. Daniel teaches us to stand faithfully even in Babylon. John the Baptist teaches us to point people to Jesus. The deeper question is not merely, “How were the prophets called?” It is: What do I do when God makes His will clear to me? Join us as we open the Bible, compare Scripture with Scripture, and allow God’s Word to speak for itself. 📖 Lesson 2: The Call of a Prophet 📅 Study: October 3–9, 2026 🎙️ Bible Deep Dive If this study blesses you, subscribe, share the lesson, leave your thoughts in the comments, and invite someone to study the Bible with us. #SabbathSchool #TheCallOfAProphet #BibleDeepDive #SabbathSchoolLesson #BibleStudy #Prophecy #Isaiah6 #Samuel #Elijah #Daniel #JohnTheBaptist #EllenGWhite #SeventhDayAdventist
