Steps to Land Back : The Konkow Valley Band of Maidu Indians & Butte County RCD

In this supplemental resource video, we explore the Concow Resilience Project, an 800-acre pilot forest health initiative in Northern California led by the Butte County Resource Conservation District (BCRCD). This project, guided by collaboration with the Konkow Valley Band of Maidu Indians, aims to restore and protect the forest landscape of the Concow Basin. Wolfy Rougle, Conservation Associate at BCRCD, shares insights into how this partnership has shaped a unique, culturally informed approach to forest health and resilience. Watch to learn more about the vital role of Indigenous knowledge and collaboration in sustainable forest management. More information about this work can be found at www.redbudresourcegroup.org.
