Univ of MD | NEW Otis Gen3 Elevator | Gossett Basketball Performance Center | College Park, MD

Barry P. Gossett Basketball Performance Center is UMD's new for 2025 campus addition! This building is located right next to the XFinity Center, and will serve as the new training/practice facility for Terps basketball. The building is two floors and has one elevator - a new Otis Gen3. I probably would have expected this unit to be hydro. It also goes 150 FPM, which is odd for both UMD and Gen3s - both usually do 200 FPM installs. The 4000 lb cab is also interesting for an elevator that will likely get very little use. This is the first install on campus to make use of Otis's implementation of the lunar key. It also has a modified implementation of the two-way communication - rather than the full LCD display used in the new Chemistry Wing installs.
