*Greene's ideas are paraphrased, not quoted, and applied.* He did not write a book on sudden change. The script uses these parts of his work: Law 25 of The 48 Laws of Power (Re-Create Yourself); the chapters on role-playing, repression and death denial in The Laws of Human Nature (2018); the death-ground strategy in The 33 Strategies of War (2006); and the life's task and apprenticeship in Mastery (2012). The script says openly that it's applying them. *Research:* Miller and Baumeister are chapters in Heatherton and Weinberger (eds.), *Can Personality Change?*(1994). Tang and DeRubeis (1999) is the "sudden gains" study in cognitive therapy. Quoidbach, Gilbert and Wilson (2013, *Science*) is the end of history illusion. West and Sohal (2006, *BMJ*) is the smoking cessation survey. Hudson et al. (2019, *Journal of Personality and Social Psychology*) is the student personality-change study. *I left out specific percentages* that the original script quoted (for example the quit-rate figures and the dollar amounts). I couldn't verify them and described the findings in general terms, with the caveats the studies deserve. *I removed the Hemingway ending* from the original and ended on Greene's mortality theme so the two scripts don't share the same closing. #psychology #selfimprovement #darkpsychology #discipline #mindset #5secondrule #artofwar #atomichabits
