The Tamiya Avante has finally arrived! This is a special RC for me, because the Avante has been a childhood dream of mine for many years. I remember seeing this car when I was younger and thinking how amazing it looked… and now, many years later, I finally have one of my own! In this video, we start with the unboxing and take a close look at everything inside the box. Then the real work begins: I build the entire Avante from the ground up and take you along for the complete build. Once the build is finished, it’s time for the moment I’ve been waiting for… The first test drive! The Avante heads to RC045 in the Netherlands for its first proper run. I test the original motor, handling, suspension and overall driving experience. There is one small problem, though… I used an old 9kg steering servo that I still had lying around, and unfortunately it turned out to be too slow and didn’t centre properly. So the steering definitely needs an upgrade before the next run. Despite that, I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of the original motor. It’s certainly not a speed monster, but at around 26 km/h, I think it has a respectable amount of speed for a classic Tamiya setup. And after two batteries, a very dirty Avante and a whole lot of fun, it was time to head home. The big question now is… Should I keep the Avante completely original, or would a modern 3S motor and ESC setup take this legendary buggy to another level? For now, I’m happy to enjoy it the way Tamiya intended. This is not just another RC car for me… It’s a childhood dream finally becoming reality. Thanks for watching and supporting the RogerRC channel! If you enjoyed the video, please leave a like, subscribe to the channel and let me know in the comments what you think about the Tamiya Avante. Would you keep it original or upgrade it? Stay healthy, keep RC-ing… and on to the next adventure! #Tamiya #TamiyaAvante #RC #RCCar #RC045 #RogerRC #TamiyaRC #RCAdventure #Unboxing #RCBuild #FirstTest #VintageRC #ClassicRC
